Losing my mojo...
Well it had to happen sometime. Its taken me all year to figure out that I just don’t got it like that anymore. Gone are the days when I could pull HOT good-looking men. These days, I cant even pull semi-decent looking guys. Old and ugly is all that glance my way and most of the time, that’s all they do. Not even a “well, hello there”. I haven’t been asked out on a date all year. Its strange. What happened??? I mean, I knew this day was coming but damn I thought I’d at least hit 40 before it arrived. What’s gonna happen when I actually do hit 40. My looks seem to fade faster and faster. Its not like I was some great beauty queen to begin with, I was hoping to hold onto the little bit I had. I don’t have much money, smarts, talents or lets face it, personality. But I did alright in the looks department...until I hit mid-30’s. Then its like I became invisible. Men no longer notice me. Especially if there are younger women around. Not necessarily prettier...just younger.
And no, I'm not fishing for some charity compliments thrown my way. I am merely observing the cruel facts of life. that time, that tricky little devil, catches up to everyone..
........that beauty is a fleeting thing..........
........and most importantly....that men will always pick the YOUNGER woman..even if she is uglier/stupider/blah-ier. – true story.
"We are never enough to ourselves because we can never be enough to another. Any one of us walks into any room and reminds its occupant that we are not the one they most want to see. We are never the one. We are never enough.”
